MCSO conducting investigation into rape of Democratic Congressional District 8 candidate

The Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office is conducting a rape investigation involving Democratic Congressional District 8 candidate Bernadette Greene-Placentia.

Phoenix New Times initially reported Greene-Placentia was sexually assaulted in August while performing campaign work.

The incident was reported to have happened in the area of 99th Avenue and Bell Road in Sun City.
