On display through April 3, Royse Contemporary presents, “Feminine Spirit, ” a small group exhibition showcasing five renowned local female artists.
Cherie Buck-Hutchison, Marilyn Szabo, Charmagne Vasquez, Casey Wakefield, and Kris Manzanares showcase their riveting collection of work at this exhibition highlighting each artist’s style, medium, and unique imagery.
“‘Feminine Spirit’ offers artwork that is visceral, authentic and engaging,” said Curator, Nicole Royse in the release. “Women possess a special strength in the depths of their soul. It balances the energies and perspectives in life. It brings perseverance, reflection and heart to everything women do.”
Through various mediums including painting, photography, mixed media and sculpture, “Feminine spirit” encompasses ideals that women house incredible power, ability, and physical/emotional/spiritual growth, according to a press release.
The gallery is open to the public 6-9 p.m., Thursday; 10 a.m.-1 p.m., Friday; and 12-5 p.m., Saturday; or by private appointment at Royse Contemporary located 7077 E. Main St., Suite 6, in the Scottsdale Arts District.
