120 degrees possible

Extreme heat warning extends through Wednesday in Scottsdale

Daytime high temperatures could reach 120 degrees through Wednesday in Maricopa and Pinal counties, including the community of Scottsdale.

The forecast caused National Weather Service officials to extend an extreme heat warning until at least Aug.  5 in the region, according to an NWS release.

Arizona Public Service has “sufficient energy supply” to meet customer needs during the extreme heat, a spokesperson said Sunday.
