2025 National Reined Cow Horse Association Kimes Ranch Derby coming to Scottsdale starting May 28

Posted

Ranchers, rejoice. Scottsdale is getting over a week of Cow Horse fun starting May 28.

The 2025 National Reined Cow Horse Association Kimes Ranch Derby is coming to Scottsdale at WestWorld from May 28 to June 7.

All 11 days of the event are free and open to the public. The competition features 4-and-5-year-old horses and their riders in three challenging events: herd work, which involves cutting cattle; rein work, which a press release describes as the equestrian equivalent of figure skating; and fence work, which is fast-paced runs chasing and turning a cow.

The event will also feature an extensive vendor market filled to the brim with artisan western goods, such as apparel from Kimes Ranch, the event’s sponsor.

WestWorld of Scottsdale is located at 16602 N. Pima Road. For more information on the event, visitnrcha.com/events/nrcha-derby/.
