A drop in crude oil prices and optimism that the Strait of Hormuz will resume normal operations brought gas prices down in the Valley, as prices fell 7 cents over the past week to settle at $4.42 a gallon, AAA Arizona said in a release Thursday.
“Arizonans are still paying about $1.19 more per gallon than they were at this point in 2025,” said Aldo Vazquez, spokesperson for AAA Mountain West Group. “But, gas prices typically start going down this time of year as demand decreases and people settle into their fall routines.”
Gas prices around the state dropped as well this week, seeing a 9 cent decline to $4.36 a gallon.
