Crismon High School is getting a new head football coach.
The Queen Creek Unified School District has announced that it is recommending Scott Hare for the position.
His appointment must still be approved by the Queen Creek Unified School District Board of Governors. It will vote on the recommendation at its Feb. 4 meeting.
Hare, who once coached at Mesquite High School in Gilbert, brings more than 20 years of leadership experience in education and athletics.
In his career, Hare has led teams to multiple state championships and has earned coaching awards in both Washington and Arizona. Most recently, he served as head football coach at Eastlake High School in Washington, where his team reached the state semi-finals. He was recognized twice as the Kingco Conference Coach of the Year.
At Mesquite High he led the team to back-to-back 4A Football State Titles in 2019 and 2020, earning the Arizona Varsity 4A State Football Coach of the Year in 2019 and the Arizona Interscholastic Association’s 4A Coach of the Year in 2020.
At Mesquite, Hare also served as an assistant principal and athletic director, where he mentored staff and student-athletes across 23 varsity sports.
“Coach Hare’s philosophy centers on transformational leadership, emphasizing trust, communication and setting clear, attainable goals for individual and team success,” a press release from the district stated. “His dedication to building a culture of excellence aligns perfectly with Crismon High School’s core values of character, humility and service.”
