Queen Creek requests proposals for Horseshoe Park restaurant

Posted

A steak restaurant is in the works for the Horseshoe Park & Equestrian Centre.

Queen Creek has issued a request for proposals for a full-service steak restaurant at the park. Successful applicants will have the opportunity to lease land for a two-story family friendly steak restaurant and possible retail, according to a town press release.

“The intent of a two-story restaurant is to provide a viewing area into the main competition arena at HPEC allowing patrons to enjoy the events that may be taking place. The restaurant will be available to HPEC attendees as well as open to the general public,” the release stated.

A pre-proposal conference and site visit will be held at 1:30 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 10 at HPEC, 20464 E. Riggs Road. The deadline for questions is 5 p.m., Tuesday, Jan. 21. Submittals are due by 3 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 19.

Opened in January 2009, Horseshoe Park & Equestrian Centre is a municipally owned 38-acre facility that hosts a variety of equestrian and non-equestrian events such as vendor fairs, concerts and monster truck events. The park attracted more than 215,000 visitors last year.
