Queen Creek police receive DUI grant

The Queen Creek Police Department has secured a $50,000 DUI abatement grant.

The grant was provided by the Oversight Council on Driving or Operating Under the Influence Abatement in partnership with the Governor’s Office of Highway Safety.

It will provide overtime pay for officers and allow for increased enforcement efforts against DUI/impaired driving.

“Drinking and driving is a reckless and dangerous choice that endangers the lives of everyone on the road. These grants play a crucial role in our ability to enhance our traffic safety initiatives and ensure that everyone in Queen Creek reaches their destination safely.” stated QCPD Chief Randy Brice in a press release.
