Queen Creek accepting submissions for kids’ art contest

Queen Creek is calling on students in grades K-12 to take part in its 2025 Water Conservation Art Contest to demonstrate creative ways to conserve water.

“This art contest provides a great opportunity for K-12 students living in or attending school in the town of Queen Creek water service area to learn about and engage in water conservation,” the town’s website states.

Students must submit two-dimensional artwork on an 8.5 inch 11-inch paper, along with a submission form, by 6 p.m., Tuesday, March 25 at the Municipal Services Building, 22358 S. Ellsworth Road.

The submitted artwork can be drawn, painted, mixed media, digital or photography.

The town's Downtown Arts and Placemaking Advisory Subcommittee will judge the artwork on originality, creativity and addressing the topic of how to “reduce your water use.”

Space permitting, entries will be displayed in the Queen Creek Library lobby, 21802 S. Ellsworth Road, during Earth Month in April. The winning students will be invited to a special reception to enjoy light refreshments and see their art on display. Top winners will also receive water conservation prize packs from the town.

Teachers can turn the contest into a class project. The town will accept entries in bulk from classrooms. Each entry will still require an individual submission form signed by a parent or legal guardian and must follow all official contest rules.
