The city of Goodyear invites Arizona artists to submit qualifications to paint themed artwork on fiberglass hearts installed throughout the city.
According to a media release, artists will engage with the surrounding community to help drive design and paint artwork that celebrates the theme, “Love Where You Live.”
The deadline is 11:59 p.m. Oct. 26 for Arizona artists, artist teams and educational institutions to apply. Finalists will be notified Nov. 20.

According to a media release, artists will engage with the surrounding community to help drive design and paint artwork that celebrates the theme, “Love Where You Live.”
The deadline is 11:59 p.m. Oct. 26 for Arizona artists, artist teams and educational institutions to apply. Finalists will be notified Nov. 20.
Hearts are located throughout the city. The placement of the hearts makes them accessible to pedestrians and visible to vehicular traffic, so the art should address the experience of both types of viewers.
Selected artist will be compensated $1,200 for community outreach, design, materials and time.
