Vitalant slates next blood drive outside Glendale mall

Each day, Vitalant needs 600 donors to maintain the blood supply requirements of hospitals across Arizona.

The public can join Arrowhead Towne Center in meeting this demand by participating in a blood drive 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 19. Vitalant’s Mobile Bloodmobile will be parked on the North side of the mall in Glendale near AMC Theatres

Donors do not need to know their blood type to participate, and there is a need for all blood donors of all blood types in Arizona.

The blood drive at Arrowhead Towne Center, at 7700 W. Arrowhead Towne Center Drive,  will offer appointments for common Whole Blood donations as well as Power Red donations, in which donors give two units of red blood cells in a single session.

After donating, participants can relax in the recovery area and make a stop in the food court nearby.
