Concerns over the residency of Acacia District Councilor Jennifer Crawford, who is running unopposed as an incumbent in the November election, has led to one resident of the district tossing her hat into the race as a write-in candidate.
Earlier this month at least three complaints were filed challenging Crawford’s residence in the Acacia District, where she was elected to represent tens of thousands of residents.
The complaints claim records show Crawford sold her Acacia District home in July, and contend she and her husband no longer have a home in the district she represents and are now living in a different Peoria council district.
