Peoria Police Citizens Academy Alumni had a great time wrapping presents at the Peoria Police Department’s Shop with a Cop event Dec. 13.

The event was organized and brought together by the fundraising efforts of Peoria Police Officers Association Charities, along with the support of several community partners and the Peoria Police Department.

Police department employees and pre-selected children started the day at the William L. Patena Peoria Community Center, then went to breakfast at a nearby Chick-fil-A. The event capped off with a shopping spree at a local Target.

The mission of the PPCAA is to foster and promote a partnership among the community, the alumni, and the Peoria Police Department to aid in providing a safe and secure environment for Peoria Police officers and the residents they serve and protect.
