Peoria councilor responds to residency allegations

It is still unclear whether she lives in the district that she represents, Crawford accuses former mayor husband of residency disinformation

Peoria Councilmember Jennifer Crawford has responded to allegations that she does not live in the district she represents, and in doing so alleged the husband of a former mayor perpetuated disinformation about her residence.

At least three complaints have been filed challenging Crawford’s residence in the Acacia District, where she was elected to represent tens of thousands of residents.

Crawford has sent a statement to Peoria Independent regarding the allegations, but it does not clear up whether she lives in the district.
