Get ready for Earth Day in Peoria!
The city has a variety of events planned for residents to help celebrate Mother Earth.
April 17 – 8 a.m. to noon: Arbor Day tree planting event for students at Sunnyslope Park, 9180 N 71st Ave.
April 20 – 8 to 11 a.m.: Earth Day cleanup event at New River Trail at Rio Vista Community Park, Ramada 4 & 5, 8866 W. Thunderbird Rd.
April 20 – 9:30 to 11 a.m.: The Best Desert Trees Workshop at the Rio Vista Community Center, 8866 W Thunderbird Rd. A certified arborist will share information about desert tree options that thrive in our climate. Attendees of this class are entered into a raffle for two free desert adapted trees!
