Every drop counts: Peoria residents can help conserve water

As new Colorado River reductions put water supplies across the Southwest in the spotlight, Peoria residents can be confident the city has long been planning for a reliable and sustainable water future, city officials say.

Peoria protects its water supply through a combination of strategies, including aquifer recharge, reclaimed water reuse and continued investment in reliable water infrastructure. The city also has a long-standing commitment to sustainability, dating back to its first sustainability plan in 2009.

Residents can help. Simple conservation choices at home, fixing leaks, using water-efficient landscaping, adjusting irrigation and reducing unnecessary outdoor water use, all add up to significant savings across the community.
