Deer Valley Unified’s M&O budget to decrease $16M. Here’s why.

While students are enjoying their summer break, Deer Valley Unified School District is hard at work finalizing its 2025-26 budget by next month.

The process will take another step forward Tuesday night when the governing board considers approving the advertising of the proposed fiscal year 2026 expenditure budget. The board must approve a proposed budget to advertise before July 5 of each year.

The entire fiscal year 2026 budget looks to be more than $441 million, or more than $476 million counting the debt service (previous bond sale repayment schedule), Deputy Superintendent of Fiscal and Business Services Jim Migliorino confirmed Monday.
