Construction on the Northern Parkway Corridor project is nearing the halfway point. Drivers should continue to expect restrictions and allow extra travel time through the area. Work typically takes place Monday through Friday from 5 a.m. to 5 p.m. Weekend and limited overnight work may also be needed.
Construction on this segment of the Northern Parkway Corridor started in late February 2026 and will continue for about 12 months, with completion anticipated in early 2027.
Over the last decade, the Maricopa County Department of Transportation in partnership with area transportation and municipal partners, have worked on improving Northern Parkway between Loop 303 in Glendale, to US 60 in Peoria. This roadway corridor has undergone a series of projects designed to provide better transportation for the area’s existing and future traffic needs.
