Scottsdale Recovery receives Homes for Heroes grant

Will bolster programs geared toward veterans

Scottsdale Recovery Center recently received a Homes for Heroes grant, which will help the center provide additional treatment and support for unhoused veterans dealing with substance abuse.

The rehabilitation facility was awarded $150,000 in November and has plans to expand same day placement options, transitional housing and residential treatment for veterans. With the new grant the center aims to expand its support for those who served and create a path toward reentry into society and recovery.

Amanda Ostrow, case manager and peer support personnel at Scottsdale Recovery Center, said this grant will help the organization be part of something bigger.
