What brought you to Mesa?: From the time I was a little girl, I dreamed of living in a warm, sunny place. I would fill pages with drawings of palm trees, sandy beaches and endless blue water, not realizing then that the desert would one day capture my heart. Over the years, I found myself in Arizona for conferences and visits, always intrigued by those who had made the move. The idea lingered in the back of my mind. One day, my husband was talking with a fishing buddy who mentioned that he owned a home in Mesa. “You should bring your wife down and visit sometime,” he suggested. We took him up on the invitation and that trip changed everything. We discovered a welcoming community, a lifestyle we loved and even a golf course that quickly won us over (despite it not being on my original agenda). What began as a childhood dream has become my reality. Today, we love the people, the weather, and, yes, the golf.

How long have you owned your business, Dawn Stebbing LLC, and what services does the business offer?: A Minnesota native, I founded Dawn Stebbing LLC over 15 years ago, driven by a passion for helping women express themselves with confidence and authenticity. Today, as a voice and visibility strategist, certified image consultant, speaker and coach, I work with women entrepreneurs and professionals who are ready to step fully into their power. My work centers on helping them look, sound and lead like the experts they are, aligning personal brand style, messaging, and presence so they can create influence and impact without ever sacrificing integrity.

What do you like most about being a voice and visibility strategist, certified image consultant, speaker, and coach for women?: The most rewarding part of my work is witnessing transformations. I love seeing women who once felt overlooked step into the spotlight with confidence. Whether I’m coaching one-on-one, leading a workshop, or speaking on stage, I get to watch them unlock their presence, reclaim their voice, and become unforgettable in their industries.

What I am promoting: Currently, I’m promoting my programs and workshops designed to help women elevate their visibility and credibility. My goal is to equip them with tools to build unshakable confidence — whether it’s through my Visibility Code framework, my Closet Confidence program or my motivational speaking engagements that inspire women to see themselves differently.

What is something many people don’t know about you?: Something many people don’t know about me is that I actually began my career as a licensed cosmetologist with dreams of owning my own salon. Along the way, I discovered a skincare, cosmetic and nutrition company that opened the door to direct sales. I built a team, earned leadership titles and even drove a white Mercedes, an achievement that taught me both the highs and challenges of success. That experience eventually led me to become a certified image consultant and, later, to serve as president of the Association of Image Consultants International. Each chapter has provided me with unique tools and insights that now enable me to help women succeed with confidence and integrity.

How are you involved in the local community?: Living in Mesa has allowed me to become actively involved in local women’s groups, networking events, and community connections, including the House of Refuge and Dress for Success. I’m passionate about mentoring women and supporting organizations that empower the next generation of leaders.

What drew you to your community?: What drew us to this community was the lifestyle my husband and I were craving at this stage in our lives, surrounded by people with similar aspirations, shared interests and in our same age group. We discovered a vibrant community of people who enjoy staying active, connecting and truly living life to the fullest.

What do you most cherish from your childhood?: What I cherish most from my childhood are the simple moments of creativity and imagination, including drawing, dreaming and believing in possibilities. Those early days of sketching palm trees turned out to be the foundation of the life I live today.

What is your most quirky talent?: I have a knack for quickly reading people. Whether it’s their body language, energy or even how they dress, I can almost instantly spot how they’re presenting themselves, and what tiny shifts could change how the world perceives them. It’s like a sixth sense that I’ve turned into my life’s work.
