Mesa’s family-friendly spring party in the park — Celebrate Mesa — offers free fun activities for people of all ages.

Celebrate Mesa takes over Pioneer Park, 526 E. Main St., 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday, April 12.

This year’s theme is Spring Fling and it includes Mesa On Wheels with the official unveiling of two new mobile units, bringing more recreation and education opportunities to the public, according to a release.

Mesa Public Library’s Read Runner bookmobile will expand access to library services, providing books, educational materials and library equipment, especially for those who don’t have convenient access to a full-service library.

Mesa Parks and Recreation’s M.O.R.E. (Mesa Outdoor Recreation Experience) mobile recreation unit will travel to different city parks offering free educational programs and activities for people of all ages.

Celebrate Mesa celebrates Earth Day with a Living Green Village featuring exhibitors offering expertise about tree planting, composting, recycling and energy efficiency incentives.
