The Mesa Planning and Zoning Board is set to vote on a site plan modification for a 45,000-square-foot industrial development at their upcoming meeting.
The meeting begins with a study session at 3:30 p.m. July 23 at 57 E. First St.
The development project in question is named Signal Butte & Germann. The development is approximately 815 feet north of the northeast corner of South Signal Butte Road and East Germann Road.
The request for modification was made by applicant Steven Rice on behalf of site owner Dale Cavan.
According to board documents, the major site plan modification request was made to develop three 15,000-square-foot industrial buildings. The applicant is requesting the modification so the site can be redeveloped for industrial uses.
Property owners within 1,000 feet of the site were notified, but staff received no correspondence or feedback, according to a city document.
The seven-member Planning and Zoning Board conducts hearings and makes recommendations to the city council on requests for changes in zoning and on required site plans. It also considers and recommends changes in the city’s long-range plans and in the municipal code concerning planning and zoning matters. Members are appointed for staggered terms of three years.
