Prime IV Hydration & Wellness - Red Mountain, a Mesa business, is serving as a designated drop-off location for the 19th annual Mesa hydration donation campaign. The summer initiative aims to collect 500,000 bottles of water and $40,000 in donations to support vulnerable populations in the Valley.

Prime IV Hydration & Wellness - Red Mountain is at 2025 N. Power Road Suite No. 106 in Mesa.

“Drinking water is great. But when your lips are dry by 7 a.m. and your brain is begging for mercy, it’s time to go beyond the bottle,” Gina Van Luven, owner of Prime IV Hydration & Wellness - Red Mountain in Mesa, said in a release. “(H)ydration is more than just a glass of water — it’s a key to cognition, energy and health.”

The annual campaign, which runs through Sept. 30, funnels water donations through United Food Bank, which then distributes supplies to more than a dozen Valley nonprofits including A New Leaf, Paz de Cristo and Mesa United Way. Since 2007, the campaign has distributed more than 7.6 million bottles of water — many to individuals experiencing homelessness or heat-related health risks, the release states.

This year’s campaign coincides with Prime IV’s summer launch of Bioidentical Hormone Replacement Therapy, a wellness option designed to help people maintain balance as the thermostat breaks records, the release states.

For those looking to get involved, donations of bottled water can be made at participating drop-off locations or through the Mesa Chamber of Commerce’s online store. A $5 donation can provide an entire case of water, and all contributions are pooled with others to maximize bulk purchasing power. Anyone who donates at least one case of water will receive 10% off services at Prime IV’s Red Mountain location, the release states.
