2nd-degree murder charge

Chandler man arrested in mother’s death

Posted

A 64-year-old Chandler man has been arrested and charged with second-degree murder as the suspect in the death of his 84-year-old mother, Mary Elenz, who was in his care, according to a Chandler Police Department release.

An investigation began after officers were notified about Elenz’s death in September 2025.

“The investigation has revealed that hospice care staff who were called to the victim's Chandler home to check on her on her stated she was unresponsive and in extremely poor physical and living conditions. The victim died the following day,” the release stated.

Chandler police detectives investigated the case and developed probable cause that Allen Page “failed to provide necessary care and medical attention despite being responsible for the victim’s personal and financial care and having knowledge of the victim’s deteriorating condition,” officials said in the release.

Page faces charges that include one count of second-degree murder, one count of vulnerable adult abuse and four counts of misconduct involving weapons by a prohibited possessor, police said, adding an investigation continues.
