Valley food nonprofit looking for volunteers

Waste Not, a Valley-based nonprofit dedicated to rescuing surplus food and delivering it to people experiencing food insecurity, is currently recruiting new volunteers to help meet the growing need across the Phoenix metro area. Volunteers with flexible schedules, and their own vehicle, or just looking to help those in need are encouraged to apply.

Volunteer opportunities include:
• Flexible Food Rescue Drivers: Volunteers use their own vehicles to pick up food donations matched through the MealConnect app and deliver them to local partner agencies within a 20-mile radius.
• Scottsdale Donor Pick-Up Route: A twice-weekly commitment using a Waste Not van.
• Phoenix-area Donor Pick-Up Route: Tuesday–Friday opportunities beginning at 5 a.m., using a Waste Not box truck to collect larger food donations.
