Litchfield schools partner with Pendergast district for bus services

Litchfield Elementary School District is seeking to expand its transportation resources through an agreement with neighboring Pendergast Elementary School District.
Under the proposed intergovernmental agreement presented to the Litchfield governing board Oct. 13, Pendergast would allow Litchfield to use its school buses for designated district routes. Litchfield would provide its own drivers.
The arrangement would give Litchfield access to additional transportation equipment without transferring responsibility for operating its routes to Pendergast.
District legal counsel reviewed the agreement before it was placed on the board's consent agenda.
