Get to know the 3 Peoria Unified School District governing board candidates

Peoria Unified School District governing board will have a competitive race in this year’s general election Nov. 3 with three candidates vying for two open seats.

Peoria Unified terms expire at the end of this year for current board members Melissa Ewing and Heather Rooks, who are both seeking reelection.

One other candidate will also be on the ballot to round-out the three-person ticket — newcomer Desiree’ Byrne.
