Small grants bolster Glendale police, libraries

Glendale city policy allows city departments to accept grants under $50,000 without a requirement of council approval.

Grants Program Manager Elise Smith is fairly new in her role and presented details of a few recent grants at the Oct. 27 City Council workshop.

In general, council members wereinterested in increasing structure to the process to capture more grant money. None expressed any issue with the $50,000 dividing line for grants being too high.
