Glendale-based Rainbow Ryders resumes sunset flights

With November marking National Aviation History Month, Glendale-based hot air balloon company Rainbow Ryders is celebrating with the official return of their seasonal sunset flights.

Beginning Nov. 1 and running through March (weather permitting), this experience gives locals and visitors alike a bird's-eye view of the desert landscape just as golden hour hits. Following the flight, passengers are treated to a post-flight toast to commemorate the adventure, keeping a long-standing hot air balloon tradition alive. 

In addition to these sunset experiences, Rainbow Ryders operates year-round morning flights and offers private flights tailored for more intimate occasions like romantic dates, proposals and special events. 

Rainbow Ryders is based at 7934 N. Glen Harbor Blvd, Glendale, having moved into this office in 2024.

The company also has an extensive history in Albuquerque, N.M. and Colorado Springs, Colo., and  an office in Heber City, Utah near Park City.
