Ewing has early lead in race for Peoria Unified governing board

Peoria Unified School District governing board candidate Melissa Ewing has an early lead in the 2026 General Election, according to unofficial results.

Ewing has 36% with 29,318 votes, Rooks has 33% with 26,727, and Desiree’ Byrne has 31% with 24,707 votes.

The three candidates are fighting for two seats on the five-person governing board.
