Motorcycle ride opens the day at Desert Rose Pizza

The 4th Annual Helping Heroes Heal Event is returning to Glendale this week.

This charity event on Saturday, Feb. 26 raises money for the Veterans IV Veterans Motorcycle Association’s Thanksgiving and Christmas programs as well as donations to other local veteran’s charities. Veterans IV Veterans includes members from all branches of the military who have a passion for motorcycles and community.

The day begins with a motorcycle Poker Run that gets under way with a 9 a.m. registration at Desert Rose Pizza & Gastropub, 6729 N. 57th Drive, in Glendale. Stops from there will include Charley’s Sports Grill, 8110 W. Union Hills Drive, Suite 350, Glendale; Wild Horse West in Peoria; Lucie’s Sage and Sand Bar & Grill, 13831 W. Glendale Ave., Glendale; and then back to Desert Rose.

The first bike goes out at 10 a.m., and the last bike goes out at 3 p.m. Cost is $20 per rider, and $25 with a passenger.

The afternoon event, which starts at 2:30 p.m. at Desert Rose, will feature a raffle, live music, vendors, and food and drinks.

Proceeds support Prevention of Arizona Veteran Homelessness, in addition to he Veterans IV Veterans Motorcycle Association’s holiday programs.
