Young makers market debuts at NW Phoenix church

Posted

St John's Neighborhood Collective will host Market on the Lot, a neighborhood market and community garage sale 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 14, at 4102 W Union Hills Drive, Phoenix, just east of Glendale.

The event turns the church parking lot into an open-air marketplace where neighbors can shop, sell, and connect. Vendors can reserve a parking space for $25 to set up a booth or simply sell out of their trunk — a formal setup is not required.

The market will feature a mix of local crafters and makers, resellers offering secondhand and vintage finds, and a clearance sale from the church's own thrift shop, with discounted items available while supplies last.

The market will also debut a young makers market, giving neighborhood kids and teens a low-cost, low-pressure way to sell their own crafts, artwork, or homemade goods alongside the adult vendors.

"We wanted to create something simple: a place where neighbors could clean out a closet, sell something they made, or just come say hello," stated Amy, one of the event's organizers, in a press release.
