The town of Gilbert is seeking volunteers for its Day of Service for Seniors on April 18, a community initiative that provides free assistance to older residents with light household and yard work.

Volunteer teams will work from 7:30 to 11:30 a.m. to assist seniors at homes throughout Gilbert.

Services may include light indoor tasks such as dusting, sweeping, mopping and organizing, as well as outdoor work including raking, pulling weeds, sweeping patios and removing debris.
