Brewer has built numerous Lego sets, including a cat that stands about one foot tall and a motorized lighthouse.
A true creator, Brewer adds finishing details to her kits such as extra figures or lights. She displays her favorite completed sets on an 8-foot-longshelf in her living room and a 9-foot-longshelf in her bedroom for her friends and family to see.
She encourages her family and friends to build with the bricks and enjoys completing sets with her grandchildren.

Inspired by Brewer’s passion for her hobby, theWatermark at Morrison Ranch featured Lego building sets at a recent Grandparents Day event.
The Legos were a hit among the many families that visited for the festivities, including Brewer’s daughter-in-law, Jennifer, and grandson, Kase. Brewer and Kase built three Lego sets together at the Grandparents Day event.
“I really enjoyed the day and connecting with my grandson as we built the Lego sets,” said Brewer, who moved to the community one year ago. “I think it’s important to have hobbies, and I love that everyone here encourages me to keep building.”
One of Brewer’s creations, a three-story diner complete with a soda fountain, boxing ring and recording studio, was selected for the 2025 Watermark Expressions Calendar. The calendar highlights stunning works of art using different mediums that are created by Watermark Retirement Community residents across the country.
Brewer said she is thrilled to have her artwork chosen and will need multiple copies of the calendar to share with her family and friends.
Rebecca Mitchell, community life director at Morrison Ranch, said she enjoys talking to Brewer about her Lego creations, and the two recently visited the Lego store at the Chandler Fashion Square mall so Brewer could shop, get inspired and purchase new sets.
“We are so excited Rhonda can share her love for Legos with not only our community but nationwide,” Mitchell said. “We are looking forward to seeing her art in the calendar and will continue to encourage and support her to follow her passion and build.”
