It’s still Pi Day at North Italia

North Italia, 1950 E. Williams Field Road, suite 102, Gilbert, has been celebrating Pi Day through April 11 with a Carbonara pizza, featuring guanciale, fingerling potatoes, aleppo peppers, pecorino and fontina.

Peoria’s executive chef, Adrian Gamez, created the Carbonara pizza for all of North Italia’s Arizona locations,. Inspired by Carbonara pasta and its alleged birthplace of the Lazio region of Italy, the star of this pizza is the guanciale – an ingredient that dates back to ancient Roman times.

North locations nationwide also are featuring the Lasagna Verde pizza, inspired by Bologna’s classic lasagna Bolognese, as part of the celebration.
