The Higley Unified School District said goodbye to two of its governing board members during its Dec. 10 meeting, the final one of the year.
President Michelle Anderson and Board Member Kristina Reese completed their terms with the meeting, and Superintendent Sherry Richards praised them for their commendable leadership and passion for education.
Reese’s decision to move on from the board was noteworthy as she has served 12 years and been president of the board on multiple occasions. Richards called her a pillar of the community.
