The Gilbert Town Council has unanimously approved two resolutions that will set the stage for hundreds of millions of dollars in future bond-funded projects.
The measures do not authorize the immediate sale of bonds or the start of construction but instead allow the town to reimburse itself later with bond proceeds for money spent in advance on design, planning or early project work.
The first resolution covers parks, public safety facilities, and transportation improvements, with an estimated $500 million in future Public Facility Municipal Property Corporation bonds.
