Hale Centre Theatre will open its 23rd annual production of “A Christmas Carol” on Nov. 28 at its theater in downtown Gilbert.

The show, directed by Hale Centre Theatre owner David Dietlein, has become one of the company’s longest-running seasonal traditions.

In a statement, Dietlein said the production “has been a cherished tradition for so many years, and it holds a special place in my heart. Bringing this story to life each season is about more than just the performance—it’s about carrying on a tradition that reminds us of the joy, generosity, and spirit of the holidays, and sharing that with every audience, year after year.”

The production features two alternating casts. Rob Stuart will return to the Green Cast and Tim Dietlein will return to the Red Cast in the role of Ebenezer Scrooge.

Performances are scheduled Monday through Saturday at 5 p.m. and 8 p.m. from Nov. 28 through Dec. 24, with select 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. matinees.

The production team includes choreographer Cambrian James, music director Lincoln Wright, scenic designer McKenna Carpenter, costume designer Brielle Hawkes, lighting designer Ashton Corey and sound designer Adam Chagnon.
