Volunteers are needed Jan. 18 to assist Gilbert residents who, due to limited financial resources and/or physical limitations, need assistance with some basic household services.

Projects can include assistance with light yardwork, removal of boxes and bags for donations, help with trash and recycling, light housework cleaning, changing lightbulbs, air filters and more.

To date the town has had more than 200 volunteers who have assisted 50 residents with volunteer work.  Weekly Collective has assisted with the volunteer coordination.

The day of service will begin at 7:30 a.m. and run until 11:30 a.m.

Those interested in helping can register to volunteer at https://weeklycollective.org/volunteer-registration-form

The town also is planning a day of service for April 12.
