Gilbert’s housing prices may not immediately bring first-time home buyers to mind, but a new WalletHub study ranks the town among the nation’s best places for people making their first purchase.
Gilbert ranked third among midsize cities and sixth overall among 300 cities in WalletHub’s Best & Worst Cities for First-Time Home Buyers study. Only Boise, Idaho, and Huntsville, Alabama, ranked higher among midsize cities.
Palm Bay, Florida, was No. 1 overall, followed by Boise, Tampa, Florida; Surprise; and Huntsville. Gilbert followed with a score of 63.50 out of 100.
