Gilbert police launch pink patch fundraiser

Posted

The Gilbert Police Department is accepting donations for limited-edition pink police patches and pink trash bins as part of a fundraising effort supporting breast cancer awareness and patient assistance programs.

The initiative is being conducted in partnership with Gilbert Public Works, with proceeds benefiting the Impact One Breast Cancer Foundation, a nonprofit organization that provides support and resources to women undergoing breast cancer treatment.

Donors can receive a pink police patch with a $10 contribution. A $40 donation includes both a pink patch and a pink trash bin. Officials said the bins are limited to 300 units.

Donations are being accepted at the Gilbert Police Department, 75 E. Civic Center Drive. Payments may be made by cash, Zelle or Venmo.

Orders will be accepted through Sept. 28, and bin deliveries are scheduled to begin in early October.
