As Arizona continues to face water supply challenges, Gilbert Water Conservation is offering a series of free workshops this fall aimed at helping residents improve the efficiency of their home landscapes.
The workshops, which begin Oct. 18 and run through Nov. 8, are designed to educate homeowners on topics such as drip irrigation, smart controllers and water-efficient landscape practices. Each session is open to the public and will be held at either the South Area Service Center or the Southeast Regional Library.
The first workshop, “Drip Irrigation Design and Installation,” will take place Saturday, Oct. 18, from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the South Area Service Center, 4760 S. Greenfield Road, Gilbert. Attendees will learn how to plan and install a drip irrigation system, whether doing it themselves or working with a professional.
