Gilbert's military tribute banner program is back this year to help honor current and past service members.

Residents who would like to participate can purchase a full-color banner of their local hero to be displayed in Gilbert’s Heritage District.

The banners will be displayed for:

• Memorial Day
• Independence Day
• Veterans Day

Banners are $130 and will include the honoree’s photo, service branch, rank, service dates, family name and more. The banners are 24 inches by 47 inches.

Spots are limited and are available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Sponsors will get to keep their banners after they've been displayed.

The deadline to purchase a banner is Sunday, March 31.

Those who are interested in learning more  or reserving a banner can visit glbrt.is/MilitaryBanners.
