Gilbert will hold its 20th Annual Veterans Day Ceremony & Classic and Custom Car Show on Friday, Nov. 8.
The ceremony at the Gilbert Civic Center lawn, 50 E. Civic Center Drive, will begin at 11 a.m. and include words of tribute by guest speakers, musical performances by local schools and military displays.
A classic and custom car show will take place beforehand at 9 a.m. This year's event is presented by local State Farm Agent Peyton Parker.
This is a free event, open to all ages. Lawn seating will be available and guests are encouraged to bring a blanket or lawn chair. Food trucks will be on-site to purchase refreshments before and after the event.

To close out the day of appreciation, the Gilbert Symphony Orchestra will present a free concert, "A Salute to Veterans," at the Higley Center for the Performing Arts, 4132 E. Pecos Road, Gilbert.
Beginning at 7 p.m., the concert will feature classic pieces from Beethoven, Bach, and Nicolai, as well as Sousa's stirring “Stars and Stripes Forever” and an Armed Forces Medley honoring those who served.
General admission is free, and VIP seating is available.
