Gilbert infrastructure authority David Fabiano dies

David Fabiano, a key Gilbert official in overseeing the town’s infrastructure, died Sept. 4 after a long illness. He was 58.

Fabiano worked for Gilbert for nine years, first as the town engineer and since January 2024 as an assistant public works director.

Fabiano was diagnosed in 2023 with a glioblastoma, a highly aggressive and malignant brain tumor, but continued to work on projects as he fought the tumor.
