The town of Gilbert is holding a heat relief drive now through Sept. 1.

Starting May 12, residents may also purchase items on their own, such as water, sunscreen, lip balm, electrolyte packs, cooling towels, and clothing to drop off at any of the donation sites:

• Gilbert Town Hall: 50 E. Civic Center Drive;

• Southeast Regional Library: 775 N. Greenfield Road;

• Freestone Recreation Center: 1141 E. Guadalupe Road;

• Gilbert Community Center: 130 N. Oak St.;

• Gilbert Police Administration Office: 75 E. Civic Center Drive;

• McQueen Activity Center:  510 N. Horne St.

In 2024, the community came together to donate about 520 cases of water, totaling 12,480 bottles, along with more than 100 reusable water bottles.

Small cases of water may be dropped off at any donation site. For larger water donations, donors are asked to contact mfbarizona@midwestfoodbank.org or call 480-892-0134 to schedule a drop off.
