Gilbert is kicking off its swim season with "April Pools Day" from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. April 6 at the Mesquite Aquatic Center.
The Parks and Recreation Department and Gilbert Fire and Rescue are partnering on the free event where kids can learn about water safety and have fun in the pool.
This early swim day will include games, local vendors, music and food trucks.
Mesquite Aquatic Center is located at 100 W. Mesquite St., Gilbert, and features diving boards, water slides, play mushrooms, zero depth area, and a shade ramada. Public swim will officially open on May 25 for the summer season.
