Friends for Life, a Gilbert-based nonprofit no-kill animal rescue, will host its biannual Microchip-a-Thon on Sunday, March 15, from 8 to 10 a.m. in partnership with the Subaru Superstore.
The event, held at the Subaru Superstore at 1050 S. Gilbert Road in Chandler, is open to pet owners across the Valley who need to have their cats or dogs microchipped.
Free DAPP vaccines will also be available for dogs. The vaccine helps protect against parvovirus and canine distemper, which Friends for Life says are highly contagious diseases with fatality rates of about 50% in adult dogs and 80% in puppies.
