Four Scottsdale schools qualify for free meals

Medicaid now used to directly certify students

Students at Hohokam and Yavapai Elementary School, Tonalea Middle School and Coronado High School will all eat free meals next school year.

The Scottsdale Unified School District (SUSD) will offer a new meal service option at these four schools that provides students with free breakfast and lunches.

Recent updates to the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) of the federal National School Lunch and School Breakfast programs eliminated the need for parents at participating schools to apply and qualify their students for free meals.
