Desert Sky Park will close temporarily this summer as construction continues on the second phase of improvements.

The park is scheduled to close May 26 and reopen Sept. 4 to allow crews to complete major construction activities safely and efficiently, according to the town of Gilbert.

Town officials said the closure was planned during the hottest months of the year, when park usage is typically lower, to reduce impacts on residents while accelerating construction progress.
